Starting to write with frequency can feel like trying to start your old van after being in the same campsite for two weeks. It takes some time to get warmed up. There’s sputtering and popping. You aren’t quite sure if you’re going to be able to leave your middle of nowhere spot in the Northern Adirondacks.
It’s a little scary. It’s exposed.
But, once you get that puppy warm and content, you know that you'll be chasing sunshine once again. Writing is a release. A way to easily get to your happy place. Even if you’re the only one that reads it.
