This term is actually pretty boring etymologically. It refers to the end of an opera. Where traditionally large women sang the final song. However, I have been hearing this phrase as long as I can remember. I use it all the time.
To me, it’s about grit and determination. About fighting tooth and nail because you can’t possibly predict the future. All you can do is work hard to be in the best position. Keep giving everything you got until the show is over.
Recently, someone asked me what I’d do if Rerouted wasn’t getting traction. It was an easy answer. I’d solve the problem better. Ultimately, I know there is a problem in the used gear industry. We will fix it. In the most effective and efficient way possible.
