Regularity and expectations
Weirdly enough - I am an advocate for uniforms. School and otherwise. I think they facilitate a meaningful psychological perspective for people. The uniform means something. It sets expectations.
Example. School uniforms make it so students can focus solely on learning - not what their classmates are wearing. Any time you look around, you see that everyone is wearing the same thing and there for the same reasons.
Uniforms breed companionship and teamwork. They bring people together because symbols are important to rally around.
When I have important days, even working from home, on zoom - I pretend it’s a real live meeting. My hygiene and appearance inspire confidence in myself. That certainly translates, even virtually.
