Reminder - the Northwest is my home. When it rains, the nostalgia comes back. Getting stuck in the rain in just jeans and a t-shirt was how I spent my childhood.
I don’t mind the warm rain of the desert or true rainforest rain. I was a bit surprised when I felt what most people considered rain. In Washington, thunderstorms were a rarity. The aberration, not the rule.
My first thunderstorm in the mountains of Colorado was a good one. An evening of thunderclaps shaking the house. Lightening right out the windows.
I love the storms. I love the rain. I love the chaos and surprises of the weather. Control what you can - accept what you can’t as truth.
