Habit holes

We get trapped by habits. We fall into routine. Biologically, our natural human response is to take the path of least resistance. To seek fun & simplicity. That’s why it’s easier to watch Monday Night Football instead of listening to Ted Talks. One satiates the primal sense to zone out & react. While, one demands consideration, reflection & growth. 

One is easy. One takes work. While making dinner, we can get stuck listening to our favorite true crime pods that are trash & create visceral reactions but not growth. Or, we can catch up on the latest developments in the Future of Work. 

Falling into a bad habit is so much easier than making a productive habit. Plus, it’s much easier to break a good habit than a bad habit. Pay attention and work to change your bad habits into cathartic, productive habits.
