Self awareness is important. Admitting the truth is key. When doing anything new - it’s a foolish idea to jump straight to expert level.
There are nuances in everything. Every new activity, pursuit or adventure has its own kinks to work out. There is no reason at all to start at the top.
What benefit is there to gain by this? What are we trying to prove to ourselves when we do it? Maybe that other endeavours have prepared us. Possibly, that we don’t need to start at square one again.
It hurts no one to see what happens at level one. Move forward from there. Skipping steps only leaves room for mistakes and the unknown to creep in.
This post spawns because we tried our first pilates video ever yesterday. And my legs and butt sincerely wish we had started with a beginner video.
